    I brewed my first stout a few months ago and noticed the same thing. I thought it was the
    beginning of an infection but it turned out to be hop seeds that made its way to the surface.

    Is there such a thing as too warm when bottle carbonating? I did have my cases of this ipa
    that's carbonated and a case of stout that i used corn sugar near the heater. The stout is flat
    btw.

    Noticed this in my secondary. When i look from the side the shots look very spherical. Is this
    yeast you think? If its not should i filter before bottling our chuck it?105334

    Silicone maybe.....i know its waterproof, can handle high temps and an pretty certain its food
    safe. Its used in aquariums. Epoxy also can handle the high temps....just don't know if its
    food safe.

    That's how i try to look at it...I'm new to brewing so i certainly can't expect perfection each
    time....as long as I'm continuing to learn I'm going in the right direction. Thanks for the

    To bad....i was hoping some of the hop flavor would stand out after bottle
    conditioning....guess i know now that's not the case....its still a good beer and I'm gonna
    enjoy it anyways! :)Thanks !
