I do starters for all my ciders. I usually create a very large starter using DME, cold crash
for 12 hours and pour off all the liquid. Half goes into a baby food jar for the next starter

I've used the machines that shoot BB's against the floor before epoxy is applied and I would
not want to do it in my basement. I would acid wash the floor and go with epoxy.
