  • I've been toying with the idea of home brewing for a couple of decades. Then I found out that a friend of mine brewed and sat in on several brew sessions. I was hooked. Then I found that a new in-law also brewed. He was kind enough to donate some equipment, and my wife bought the rest of the gear I needed as a birthday gift. The rest...is history.
  • Honey Lager, Sticke Alt, Baltic Porter, several IPA's, and probably anything else I try that tastes good!

  • A Sam Adams Octoberfest clone (my attempt); Kaiser Alt (A North German Altbier) Found the recipe on this forum. My 3rd batch of it, and I strengthened it this time to "Sticke Alt" proportions.; Honey Brown Ale (from The Weekend Brewer, Petersburg, VA)

    I've soaked the faucet tops in pbw or oxy and most times it comes off. If not, remove the
    stopper part from the top and soaked it in a bleach solution and then clean

    Sounds like beer stone. Check out this link for cleaning options beer stone. I've heard of
    that but never knew what it was. That would make sense. Thanks for the link.
