  • Posted in thread: Question about dry hopping on 11-25-2013 at 01:35 AM
The fermentation process blows off a lot of the volatile hop oils released when dry hopping,
which is why you should wait for primary fermentation to finish before dry hoping. Foam may
    indicate where ...

  • Posted in thread: Does glass shape REALLY enchance the flavor? on 07-14-2013 at 05:49 AM
Without doubt using wine glasses lets you smell beer a lot better, which is at least part of
the fun of drinking a good beer. If you're drinking megaswill lagers obviously there's no
    point.

  • Posted in thread: To Party Gyle or Not to Party Gyle... that is the question on 10-07-2012 at 06:34 AM
If you can, fly sparge. I party gyle whenever I brew a high gravity beer & for mine it's the
best way to do it. Also, if the seconds aren't that high in gravity you can either boil it down

    the yeast wou...

  • Posted in thread: Has anyone brewed with mango? on 05-05-2012 at 05:17 AM
I made lambic style beer with mango. I used about 10lbs in a 5 gallons. The yeast ate all the
mango flavour. Still a good beer though.

Rodenbach 2007 Vintage Ale, Consecration and Cantillion Lou Pepe 2007 are three of my favourite
sours. I've got some of the Rodenbach 2009 Vintage Ale but it doesn't have the same oak as the
    2007.
