Started brewing in the US Army (former W. Germany) in the late 80s so I could have weizen back home. Worked at extract and AG brewing (heated mash on stovetop, then into insulated box, Zapap lauter tun).
Brewed for a few years then ran out of room. Hiatus.
Came back to the kettle in 2008 after we bought our first house. Brewing on the patio w/propane is an epiphany... -
Go-to batches: mild ale and weizen.
Things to try: Koelsch, perhaps? Guinness clone? -

I thought after a certain period of time after being mixed it loses its effectiveness?Although
I generally use iodophor, I do keep starsan mixed in the spraybottle (distilled water) for that

and some fill with sanitizer and push it out with CO2 (Method 3). No one seems to have any real
data or can offer a diffusion equation that can be used calculate/estimate the amount of O2
that ends up...
