I'd keep it and use it too. I'd also recommend using an anti foam drop next time in each wort

You're trying to multiply your yeast which means the yeast need oxygen. So you should be using
foil to allow a two-way exchange of air, or a foam stopper. Your airlock will prevent air from

targets hit exactly, except SG was at 1.051 instead of 52. I made a 800 ml starter with WLP 300

If you're keeping the temperature of the carboy is 68-70F then the wort is higher than that.
This high fermentation could be the most likely culprit of that flavor, because I've had the

Hi Jay, just a thought, but conditioning in bottle tends to move much more slowly at lower
temps. Since it's currently taking your beer in bottle 8 weeks to even out (2 weeks around room
