My sister bought me a "just add water to a plastic bag" beer kit about 12 years ago and it was horrible.
Hiatus.
My old Navy buddy showed me how to extract brew about 4 years ago and SWMBO bought me a homebrew kit and 2 keg system for xmas 2007! I've brewed over 100 gallons since, but production never keeps up with demand. Now, Fall 2010, a friend and I are building a single tier AG system a piece at a time.
I pretty much brew the same Scottish Ale and Hefeweizen recipes because they taste awesome. My friend I brew with caught the bug when I showed him how to brew this last summer 2010 and because of his bug, I am trying a few new recipes and moving to the AG system.
12/2010: finished building a single tier, 15 g., 3 vessel, HERMS system! -
