  • I never drank until the age of 23. Wasn't intrigued by it enough to pursue it. One day, I felt like trying something new. I walked into the beer section of the liquor store near my house, not knowing anything about beer at all. I saw a bottle of Chimay Blue on the shelf, and remember thinking that a $10 bottle of beer must be good. I remember being completely blown away by that bottle of beer. After that, I set out to learn everything I can about beer. Constantly reading Beer Advocate, and occasionally reading posts about homebrewing. My interest steadily rose, until April of 2010 when I made the jump and bought a brew kit. I brewed close to 100 gallons of beer in my first year, and have gone fairly crazy with my brewing.

I keg, I brew all grain 5 gallon batches, and I'm in the process of piecing together a 10 gallon brewstand setup.

In the time I've spent brewing since April 2010, I've found my true passion in life. I love creating something that other people enjoy.

I've ordered from Brewmasters Warehouse a few times. Great site. If you order as a recipe,
you'll get one big bag. If you just add separate grains to your cart and checkout, you'll get
    individual bags...

I made a very tasty berliner by doing a flash pastuerization after the mash, just bringing it
up to 180 degrees. Threw the lid on the kettle, and let it naturally cool. The next day I
    racked into the ...

I almost always brew alone. I've had people pop in, but rarely do they help. They mostly just
    stand around and watch.
