I eneded up using Marine 5200. It's still curing but looks ok. After it dries I may see about
adding a thin foam gasket to line the inside at the top.

I already have the cooler and have cut the hole in the lid. I'm just looking for any
suggestions to clean up and seal the exposed foam in the hole.

I'm in the process of making a rolling keg-cooler out of this: igloo ice cube 70-qt. I've seen
it done before, and thought it was pretty straight forward. Cut out hole in lid for top of keg

  • Posted in thread: Looking for store bought metal carts, shelves, etc for brew stand, any rec? on 08-16-2012 at 03:11 PM
The other day I was at my local BJ's and there was a metal cart for sale, $40, had two shelves,

It's my first time doing a lager, and I'm actually doing two at the same time. An Oktoberfest

Thanks Brewski, I'll ask if they have them. They did say I had to remove all food so I hope
    they carry them.

I've got an issue brewing involving bugs and beers. I recently brewed my first lagers ever, an
Oktoberfest and a Maibock. I brewed them back to back and as of a couple of days ago I just
    started a dia...

  • Posted in thread: Why are wheat beers the preferred fruit base? on 04-12-2012 at 03:36 PM
I'm just curious why it seems that wheat beers are the preferred base beer when making a fruit
beer? I'm thinking of making a watermelon beer, leaning towards the wheat, but that's just
    because of wha...

I'm making a chocolate hazelnut stout and had intended to order the extract from morebeer but
they are on backorder. Does anyone have any recommendations for a particular brand hazelnut

  • Posted in thread: AHS Hobgoblin clone, has anyone tried it? on 11-29-2011 at 06:34 PM
The beer was never close to what Hobgoblin should be like, much lighter in color. It was an
"ok" tasting beer, but no Hobgoblin clone.
