I'd just leave it as is. Since you brewed this for your wife, I assume she likes raspberries
(and their tartness). Keep it simple.

I've done the fresh raspberry route a couple of times, but I didn't mash them. I just plopped

The general guideline I've heard/used is 1 lb. of fruit per gallon of beer. For the raspberry
saison that I make, I lower it a bit because raspberries have a pretty strong flavor. I use 3

I thought it was funny that the gents that were bringing this claim were essentially saying,

1. Not sure how you could do it differently with the teaballs (outside of buying more). But
like Seriousbeef mentioned, you can throw them in loose. Any gunk that does get into the
fermenter will sett...
