So there was never any evidence of moisture intrusion before this? Its weird to think that

Did you have the lid down flat, or down at a 45deg angle? (Not that it should have leaked,

I store my grain outside all year, no issues, ever, for years. I was sick of having the top lid
fill up with water and get nasty. I researched online and it seemed to be ok to store these

I doubt you could damage the interior of the corny with oxi clean. I've let it sit for periods
of time with zero issues. I would try soaking again with really hot water, then rinse
