    ABOUT ME

  • Blair, NE
  • AHA, ASHRAE, ASME, IVAW, ASABE
  • It all started so innocently: A Southwest Airlines inflight magazine with a recipe for habanero ginger ale and a penchant for cooking. Then, a short bike-based-brewery tour in Santa Barbara, ending with a discussion with the owner of Telegraph Brewery and some recommended reading about brewing. When reading and researching weren't enough, it was time to head to the local brew shop and make my first beer. Now, three months later, I'm four batches in and can't get enough. Well, can't get enough space to brew in that is. rnrnEverything I've made so far is listed in the other sections.
  • You name it.
  • I've probably forgotten it already.
  • "Secondary". You mean in a keg and tapped, right?
  • Port Barrel Aged Brown Belgian Ale (a.k.a. "ITSA" Born 3/6/2011)
  • Dregs, mostly.
  • Male
  • Married

This is a fun thread. My name comes from early in my USMC enlistment when I was on Recruiter's
Assistance. A friend called me while I was heading out to lead some potential enlistees on a PT

I'll just interject the point that stone isn't even a top 5 San Diego county brewery.Alpine,
Ballast Point, Alesmith, Bruery, Lost Abbey/Port are all better.Ouch, Bruery's a better San

OK, you're going to have to elaborate on that.First, don't fall for the Objectivist-baiting. I
have a kid named Dagny. Second, there is no second, only first. First, if quality is objective,
    what's t...

Telegraph from Santa Barbara. They are almost solely responsible for getting me into
homebrewing and (last I checked in 2012) make some unique and well-crafted beers that you won't
    find outside of CA,...

Yes, in the US, Stone is top 5. But, I'm not one to defend my taste in beer or impose my ideas
upon others. I've been known to enjoy Hamms as much as Schenkerla.Chimay as much as a Sam

Apparently I need to learn to read a calendar--that Tuesday is the 12th, not the 11th. Thus,
it's two days after the USMC b-day; I'll be functioning.Chriso, once we're going on the
    internet front, I'l...

Good point. That's also the day after the Marine Corps Birthday, so I may or may not be
functioning...I'll keep this post updated as the fog clears.

I recently relocated from California to Nebraska. Having been a member of the Maltose Falcons,
I've found myself greatly missing the fellowship and supportive community of homebrewers
    nearby. Admitted...
