  • My old man has been brewing for about 25years, he set me up with a few essentials last year. We drank a 6'er together and got my first extract batch into a carboy in March of '09. It was a simple Belgian. I screwed up on orderingmy second batch and accidentally ordered an AG kit for a Belgian Wit. Made do attempting to steep in the kettle, it didn't work out so well, but the process has me hooked in AG, and the old man wants to learn a few things from his eldest. His youngest has been brewing about 18 months now, he too is still doing extract.rnrnI have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, so I'm a bit obsessed with all the wonderfull DIY aspects of brewing, home brewery building. this hobbby looks like I'll have projects for years to come!
