How hot is it when you are aerating?I stir it with the wort chiller in to help it cool. Pretty
    much right after the boil.

Except you WANT O2 in the wort for the yeast to grow. How do you reconcile that with the idea
that HSA causes off flavors?Right....I totally agree. In John Palmers book, he states the
    aerating while h...

I know this topic has been talked about a lot, but it seems like every single one of my batches
have had that wet cardboard taste. I'm starting to think that it's because I've been stirring
    my wort wh...

So I have brewed many kit beers from 2.5 gallon mr beer to 5 gallon from ciders to wines etc.

That coopers yeast causes the apples flavor. I'd buy something a little cleaner like safeale 05
    for coopers kits

I think they're alright. If I want to make a quick brew to drink then I use them. I don't like
the coopers yeast though. I'll buy some safeale 05 for a coopers kit.

I wasn't suggesting that lactose or malto dextrin will ferment the same as typical malt
extract. Here are some blog posts that discuss unfermentable sugars a little further if you are
    interested. OP i...

I guess some people might like the taste of the beer even if it is high for the style. 1.048
down to 1.026 is 2.9% ABV and is equivalent to a cup of coffee with 4 teaspoons of sugar. 65%
    attenuation i...

I don't think delabeling is a chore really. I have a small trash can filled with PBW/Oxy water
that I toss empty beer bottles into. Most of the commercial beer I buy have labels that will
    fall off aft...
