I did the Brickwarmer Holiday Red Kit from Northern Brewer and used WLP013 London Ale Yeast.
The OG should have been 1.062Upon further review.....there is a krausen ring.

Saran wrap works great. No reason to think that the beer cap won't work. Just keep an eye on
the water in the airlock and top off as necessary.

Sounds like he'll be doing a 3 gallon boil with extract and then top-off water.This is probably
his best option for now.
