thanks for the good tips. I see what you mean about the hydrometer. I just dropped it in the
liquid and it sank to the bottom, did'nt float at all. The recipe was 5 gallons apple cider

thanks for the info! I've never done a lager before, so was hoping to try my first. I wasn't
aware of the extra time requirements. Perhaps a CranAle?
