I split my batches in two 6.5 gallon carboys. And yes I think you will find the yeasts offer
differences worth exploring. The differences can be radical or subtle depending on your
    selection. Sent fro...

Thanks Bryan. I was figuring that as well, but found myself curious about the height of the
burner on the cart. I couldn't find a measurement when looking, but my eye says it looks a
    little low for a ...

Very interesting system. I like the idea. I currently do a hybrid, half grain / half extract,
BIAB in a Boilermaker 20 on the optional extension legs. I am curious about the height of the
    kettle drain...

I should also mention, and I am sure you are already aware as Bluebird fan, it should enjoyed

Keep us posted. FWIW, my last attempt, which I am drinking right now, is too heavy. I can't
recall the gravities, but it's close to 5% and it's just not bluebird. Sent from my iPad using

I hope you have brewed it! You are right in the zone. I have done a few variations on the hunt
for the Conniston Bluebird, it's a very fine beer if you ask me. It's subtle. I am a BIAB
    "hybrid" guy, o...

I am betting you will be proud! If the only mistake you made was 2 degrees high for 156 on
strike, you will get a nice brew. You can make it dryer next time, if you want.Sent from my

Can't recall how many batches, partly because I time warped as a brewer from the early 90s to
about 2011. I can say that when I went to a full batch boil and added an immersion chiller it
    all changed ...

  • Posted in thread: Keg shortage? on 04-02-2014 at 01:38 AM
It seems to me that as the price goes up the condition of the used ball locks is declining. I
am starting to shift my thinking to new, but I have not tried a new ball lock keg yet. I have
    been looking...

Care to share your recipe? Love that beer. I bottled my Lamebic and Berliner Weisse tonight.
Right now, it's just a Sour Stout, Arrogant Bastard clone, and Spruce Brown. The latter two
    will get bottle...
