    ABOUT ME

  • Married to a beautiful stay-at-home mom. Happily trying to build up a brood of 3-6 kids before she turns 35. Just one for now, but the practice is fun.

I really enjoy my life. It centers around my wife, daughter and me. We just go through our day laughing, singing, eating, dancing and playing.

I enjoy learning as much as I possibly can about subjects that I am interested in. Mostly food, cooking, baking and brewing. I love traditional recipes and variations.

  • Christmas of 2010 brought a homebrew kit as a gift from my mother-in-law (a homebrewer herself). A lifelong dream had been fulfilled.

I have a passion for food and cook nearly every meal my family eats. I don't like preservatives and prefer organic foods because I like to know exactly what I ingest. I bake all of our breads and knew that this distant cousin of brewing would prepare me for homebrewing.

My current setup is simple, but I have big dreams.

You might want to search Allied Electronics, Grainger or Digikey for "circuit board indicators"
that match your description. I cannot see where you would need a 110 volt LED in your assembly,
    but I am...

I have never used liquid, but I just finished a Hefeweizen and have solid activity in four
hours. I rehydrate in 90 F water, shake the hell out of the carboy to oxygenate and pitch at
    high 80 F. Pop t...

I was also just thinking of doing a gin beer. I just finished an "Egyptian" beer for the museum
where I made a 60% barley, 35% red wheat and 5% acidulated malt beer flavored with corriander,

  • Posted in thread: Does cleaning ever get you burned out on brewing? on 04-04-2012 at 12:58 AM
Clean as you go for sure. I cannot brew indoors because of space constraints, so I can feel
your small kitchen pain. Oxyclean is a life saver too. 1TB/gallon will make short work of
    anything.

If you like your beer then his opinion does not matter. If you like what you are doing then you
    are doing it well!

I strongly remember Terrapin, one was named Hoppin Rye or some such and a few others are lost
