  • I started just on a whim that I wanted to learn more about what goes into making a nice beer or cider. I had never actually had a hard cider, and I very rarely even drank beer. But as a chef I am driven by the curiosity of how things work with food and the biggest mystery was yeast. I know how to make some amzing pastry's and breads using it, but the art of creating a beverage that people would enjoy just amazes me. My friends and family all love the drinks we have crafted so far, some good and some not so good. But it's all in good fun and we learn from our mistakes
  • I'm currently working on getting setup to do all grain beer making, but for the time being I am working out the kinks in the system and learning with beer kits, so far I really enjoy the Brewhouse Kits. I have made 1 coopers kit and about 4 Brewhouse, and the coopers really did not excite me all that much but I'll keep plugging away and see what happens
