So it has been awhile since I visited but I was unemployed, going broke, and just not brewing.
I recently took a job in Houston and moved last week. I temporarily left my beautiful home,
wife, garden,...Posted in thread: Bottle necks breaking!?!? on 04-08-2013 at 12:37 AM
I utilize a variety of bottles and handle them all the same regarding cleaning, storing and
sanitizing. Last night when cracking open a few to taste our latest batch of Imperial IPA, I
literally broke...Posted in thread: Brew day was super awesome easy! on 03-27-2013 at 04:10 AM
Gotta love when it goes smoothly.I generally tell myself "it's not brew day unless something
goes wrong" because something usually does. Usually something small. Which makes me quite
pleased when a br...Posted in thread: Brew day was super awesome easy! on 03-27-2013 at 03:50 AM
WEll today was awesome. I brewed today, two days later than originally planned and four days

Just print out one of these: tool. I have all of that information stored digitally so my
notebook is what "actually" happens on my brew days. When my notebook runs out of pages I will
use the PDF in...Posted in thread: Missed OG by .020....Thoughts? on 03-15-2013 at 06:26 PM
I'm a big believer in seeing it through as a learning experience, as long as its not an
obviously infected batch.I've learnt more from my unplanned changes (mistakes) than the batches
that go to plan....Posted in thread: Missed OG by .020....Thoughts? on 03-15-2013 at 06:24 PM
I've done plenty of extract batches an had no problems fermenting as high as 72 and I never
noticed any issues with the beer. I don't look to do that but it is what is. The problem seems
to be note ta...Posted in thread: Missed OG by .020....Thoughts? on 03-14-2013 at 03:37 PM

your water is off somewhere. 13lbs of grain absorbs a lot of water and it is an easy mistake to
overlook. ...
