- Drove past a local HBS and pulled in on a whim. Got talking to the owner and he invited me to come to his monthly beer school. Came back for the class and got to help brew a 5 gal batch in the parking lot. From then it was only my lack of equipment that was holding me back.
- couple batches of Pale Ale, and a nice basic amber, just to refill the drinking bin.

For a first batch, don't waste any worries about hitting a "style" right on. If you get down to
the nitty gritty, the differences between some styles is hundredths of a point in IBU's Color

While I agree 100% that you want to let the brew age in the bottles for a few weeks to help
develop the flavors, I don't think leaving it the primary for 3-4 weeks is really needed. I've

we have both their brews on tap at a lot of local bars and restaurants, the pale ale is the
most common one I find, but I'm a big fan of their heffe when ever i find it. :mug:
