    IMHO boiling for 90 minutes may do more for reducing DMS than keeping the lid off for cooling.
    I've seen a bunch of Jamil recipes that call for 90 minute boils specifically for reducing
    DMS.Dan

    I think you have an extra 0 (zero) on those mesh sizes but you do have the filtration effect
    correct. I'm not positive but I believe that the "mesh size" refers to a "per inch" measurement

    Well a 50 mesh was used this weekend with great straining results but the boil is more mild
    than preferred. I think the 40 mesh might be the best route.Any progress on the 40 mesh
