  • I started brewing young. In 11th grade, I was researching a paper on King Arthur, and found a website detailing the method to make mead. I was in love. Two of my friends joined in with me and we started brewing with a simple kit with 5 gallon glass carboys. When college came around, we went our separate ways, and brewing went on hiatus.rnrnNow, twelve years since I last brewed, I have finally gotten a house with a basement for brewing, and I am back in the saddle. My brother and I have our first batch in primary, and will bottle just after Labor Day.rnrnMy love of beer has done nothing but grow. Living in Michigan, the self-proclaimed "Great Beer State" has its advantages. With 92+ breweries in the state, and three very good brew stores within 20 miles, I am very lucky.rnrnLift a glass with me; I am thirsty.

sugar, then turning that in to a syrup to use with my Sodastream...

Herradura Reposado.Smooth with a nice agave tang. Not too expensive - around $44 per bottle.
Preferred it over the Anejo. Anejo has more vanilla, which didn't impress.Drink it with a

Squash doesn't have alcohol in it though. It's basically just a type of carbonated
lemon-flavored drink. Pretty damn good, though. I think the term is a distortion of the UK
    English term "squash."Agre...

I was also a fan. It's pretty crazy carbonated too.In Japan they have what's called "Lemon
Sour" which is not a whiskey sour or anything similar. It's actually like a mixture of lemon
    soda (like CC le...

That reminds me - at the University of Wisconsin Union they used to serve this stuff called BB
Lemon. It was this awful, sickly sweet 5ish ABV lemon stuff.Funny, it sounds a lot like a

If they are 9 inch tiles, they are asbestos. If 12 inch, they probably aren't.Exactly what I
was going to say. My grandparents' house had the exact tile pattern, and they were asbestos. I
