2/6- I've been a big fan of great beer ever since my college days when I first discovered Gaelic Ale from Highland. Since then I've become quite fond of Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas and Stone, as well as the local beer scene here in the area. Life would be complete if I could find a Tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale clone recipe.

It's absolutely exactly what I wanted it to be. The cherry flavor is still a little green, but
once this r...Posted in thread: Chocolate Cherry Stout on 12-03-2012 at 03:58 PM
Bottled my version this past weekend. Used black cherry juice and roasted cacao nibs in the

Thanks a lot. If we are in the same boat, then I suppose we can assume this gets tasty with the
aging. I am already headed to the LHBS to pick up stuff for a quicker ale. I think because of

A couple questions I may have missed.1) Did you boil the juice to sanitize it before putting it
into the fermenter?2) The juice is just being added directly to the primary with the existing
yeast, cor...Posted in thread: Slim's Graham Cracker Ale 2.0 on 11-04-2012 at 03:05 PM
I also used this recipe as a guide but switched things up to go in more of a porter direction.
Bottled yesterday after 3 weeks in primary and 1 week in secondary on the vanilla beans. Was
super hazy i...Posted in thread: What's the worst craft brew (commercial) you've had? on 10-01-2012 at 01:01 PM
I also recently attended a street festival at Roth (maybe the same one??) and left disappointed
with the beer. But the worst beer I had there was "6 Impossible Things" by Mystery Brewing. It
tasted li...Posted in thread: Help Tweaking "American IPA" Recipe on 08-30-2011 at 12:38 PM
Thanks for the info! I'll make adjustments to my notes regarding the dry hop time and give some
more thought to adding a bit more Vienna or forsaking it all-together.Posted in thread: Help Tweaking "American IPA" Recipe on 08-30-2011 at 03:13 AM
After a lot of work, thought, etc I've come up with the base recipe I'd like to brew for an
all-grain attempt. I'm using iBrewMaster to do the auto-calculations and I think it's close on
some aspects,...
