instead of storing the leftover extract.. why not make a couple of half batches at the same

I started a batch of IPA Dec 31... OG 1.060, had major foam blow out for 2 days.. then after 4

Ok.. we scrub out everything.. sanitize it.. then.. suck on the end of the siphon tube and dump
tons of bacteria in the secondary fermenter?? Seems like it defeats the purpose of all that

first a correction.. my OG was 1.082 ...ok.. so for a 3 gallon batch.. the cherries would add
about .37% to my ABV? and assuming it goes back to the 1.010 SG.. then I'm looking at just a
bit under 10%
