instead of storing the leftover extract.. why not make a couple of half batches at the same
time? Then you could make the variations and be able to compare side-by-side.

I started a batch of IPA Dec 31... OG 1.060, had major foam blow out for 2 days.. then after 4
days it stopped completely.. Racked to secondary 1/4/2006.. 1.016 had a little airlock activity

first a correction.. my OG was 1.082 ...ok.. so for a 3 gallon batch.. the cherries would add
about .37% to my ABV? and assuming it goes back to the 1.010 SG.. then I'm looking at just a
bit under 10%
