I thought it was about finished until I opened it tonight to take a gravity reading and saw the
    krausen on top.

I guess my next question is should I plan on waiting a couple more weeks before bottling. I
know I'll need to check the gravity, but I don't want to open my bucket any more than
    necessary.

It smelled pretty good when I opened the bucket. Since its only my second batch I don't know
what to look for. Thanks for all the advice.

Cool. I avoided taking the lid off till tonight because I know that it can take a while for the
yeast to take off. I'm guessing my bucket isn't airtight. I need to get a carboy so I can see
    everything...

I don't remember what type of yeast they sent. It was their standard dry yeast. I pitched it at
76 which was higher than I intended. It has be sitting at about 68-69 since.

I accidentally posted before I was finished. Should I repitch the yeast or just wait longer?

I'm 70 hours into fermentation and I haven't seen a bubble in the airlock yet. I'm brewing
midwest's Irish stout. I took a picture and attached it below. 103868

I tasted another bottle last night and the off flavor is going away. I'm guessing it was just
    really green.
