1. I crash as close to 32F as my fridge will get. 2. I do not. Reducing the temperature will
reduce the pressure, no co2 will be generated by the inactive yeast, and I don't want anything
sucked back ...

Yes. See the closed pressurized fermentation thread, or the wiki: I ferment in corneys and
ramp up the pressure at the end of fermentation.
