  • Back in 2007 I was not old enough at the time to purchase beer from the store so I decided to start brewing it myself. Me and friend started brewing malt extract and partial mash kits from our local brew store, Midwest Supplies. We continued brewing partial mash extract batches throughout college do to the portability. We purchased an All Grains brewing kit in June 2011 and are learning something new every batch. For my birthday the SWMBO got me started with a kegging system from MS.

Four ball locks fit snugly on the floor. It's a tight squeeze but it works, not for pin-locks
though. You can only fit 3 pin locks. With a 9" collar you can fit a 5th ball (or 4th pin) lock
    on the com...

Payne, I just purchased an stc-1000 temp controller off amazon for $24, then had to buy a few
other things to make it work, but overall I spent maybe $40 for it. I'm expecting about $50 for
    a collar a...

Danger, I have been researching which keezer setup to build, and I've been eyeballing the
holiday freezer at lowes, mostly because of price. Since you've had yours for quite sometime
    now, can you say ...

Just got done talking to Nordeast, he (and the others invloved) got put in time out until
    Wednesday by the Mods.

Was Nordeast banned or something? I just tried to send him PM and it got rejected. No, I don't
think so. I think the mods suspended a couple people's PM ability due to bickering and heated
    PM's in deba...

Yeast seems to be the defining factor here though.. What temps has everyone fermented at? Do we
think that warmer will bring out the sweetness, and if we keep it cooler, it'll allow the
    sweetness to b...

Dry hopped my clone attempt last night. Opened the fermenter and got kicked in the face with a
huge aroma of pineapple and peach. I am using a ratio of 1 oz Simcoe / 0.5 oz Centennial / 0.5

Let's take the time to refocus on the real goal here people. We don't need to argue. We NEED to
clone! kaz4121 compiled and linked the sources for what we collectively know about this beer.
