  • I got into home brewing when I was 9 helping my great grandmother out with her home-brew. When she died in 1994 I could no longer brew until I was able to afford the equipment and supplies. I had to wait till 2000 after getting a job marrying kegs to draft lines to finally start again. After finding a very steady source of income working as a soldier for the U.S. Army in Ft Hood Texas, I was able to procure some very nice equipment from Austin Home Brew Supply and stayed relatively busy up until my last deployment from 2008-2009. Afterwards, I was honorably discharged and wanted to explore the challenge of a brewing science major at UC Davis. I sold a good deal of my possessions including most of my brewing equipment to finance the move and came to settle here. Over the past 2 years I have worked at a brew pub taking final gravities on Wednesdays and working full time as a pantry cook, started school, and finally started brewing again. Life is pretty sweet :D :mug:
