  • I got interested in it when I talked to my cousin, who had brewed before. He gave me one of those miserable football looking kits. I QUICKLY switched to a carboy and fresh ingredients, but still extract brew, My setup now has 20 gallon batch capacity.

    I built a kegerator that houses 4 corny kegs. In the winter, I have a 5th corny next to the fridge, and a picnic tap. Makes 5 different beers flowing {8^)

    Conestogaman,Price check please...just kidding, I only use 1/2 gallon of extract per 5 gallon
    batch. I think a gallon weighs 12 pounds?? Either that, or you make some kickin brews!Regards,

    I buy 5 gallons (58lbs.) of extract at a time. I use a gallon of extract for every 5 gallons of
