I thought oats had to be mashed?They can be added to the end of a boil to create mouth feel and

I had 65% efficiency in my system, my OG was lower.My tool shows OG=1.056 and FG=1.010 for 75%
efficiency and 152F mash temp. ABV would be around 6%.You could mash higher, say 157F and

8 seems high really high. I just bottled a 5 gal batch of dunkel with table sugar and was 4.2

FWIW.. I'm a newb here but think your base recipe looks good. A whole nutmeg might be a bit
much... a little goes a long way. Maybe keep it in a separate hop sack so it can be pulled
before the vanill...
