  • I'm working with a 7.9 gallon primary fermentation vessel and 2 6 gallon better bottles.
    I'll be picking up a 3 gallon glass to bulk age in and probably at least one new item a month for quite some time.
  • Sweet cherry wine, Traditional Japanese orange wine, a variety of Melomels, low (5-7%) alcohol hard cider, and a myriad of beers (starting with extract and moving on to mashing)

    I'll be freeing up a carboy to rack this into tomorrow. My Black Mead will make it's new home
    in some gallon glass jugs to bulk age.I grabbed an autosiphon from the brewshop a while back,

    Why would I do that? It only leave space for wild yeast and bacteria to float in. Yeast
    produces CO2 which is heavier than O2. This means that any air that might make it into my
