It seems very odd that you would get that in a week from a stopper that's not even contact with
the brew. Have you looked into the qualify of your tap water?

I had Quinoa for dinner tonight and after some research I learned that it's really easy to get
it to start to germinated and in theory you should be able to germinate and then dry or toast
it to brew ...

Another thought is racking it onto some honey in the secondary for a second fermentation. That

Temperature and humidity levels make a big difference to. My last brew I did a allgrain
outdoors when there was a high of -19C, it got down to -24C by the time I did my boil and it
was dry. I lost 2.5...
