    It probably would never be worth the cost. The tolerances are pretty tight on the laser diode

    The plexiglass, wood, and modeling clay prototype proved the idea works but was to frail to be
    tried under pump pressure. I was pleased with it. Th en I packed everything up and moved.

    160 bucks sounds pretty reasonable. My thermocouple probe alone was about that, then i had to
    spring for the awesome redlion controler. :eek:

    Ha don't get yourself down. Remember that building it is half the fun anyway. I have a fully
    automated 30 gallon setup but i find that I am not pleased with it and end up brewing on my
    manual 10gallon...
