no, people use whatever yeast they have around. I think next batch I'll use a hefeweizen yeast.

I'll second Arbor Brewing company. The Sacred Cow IPA and the Olde #22 Alt are two of my
favorites.I don't care much for Bell's Oberon (it's the college micro of choice) but they make
