  • My 1st brewing experience was when I helped an old hippy that worked with my wife brew a batch of Wheat beer. It wasn't that great, but i was hooked. I started taking classes at my LHBS the very next weekend, and quickly purchased my first set of buckets and an extract kit. That first batch was the best beer i had ever tasted. (Up to that point anyway) I am now using my own hand built Three Tier all-grain system, and am planning to very soon to build a single tier RIMS system.

The instructions I found called for 1tsp per gallon. Which would be 5tsp in a five gallon
batch. Is that just entirely too much?
