Happy to report.... Tonight I did a dual sparge on about the same grain bill. My 2nd sparge
still yielded 1.028 gravit and my overall gravity was 1.065. My target as 1.070 and I ended
about .25 gallon...

Why top off the kettle with a gallon of water vs running another gallon sparge through the
grain? Topping the kettle with water is an efficiency killer.Even cold water will extract

My biggest fear was the possibility of un-fermentables in the final product. I did not due an
iodine test, however I always taste it and it was definitely sweet tasting.

I'd recommend crystal for wheats. It also does good in apa's. It grows like my other C hops,
yet has a German flavor and is haut different. I've grown to really love them
