Only luck I've ever had removing "etched" paint from glass is in the dishwasher. And of course,

Like everyone has said, it's the same reason you don't idle your car in a closed garage.
Charcoal has a much higher density of fuel than wood; as such it gives off a much higher amount
of carbon monox...
