  • My first batch was a Mr. Beer Kit that tasted horrible in 1999. I restarted 2006 and brewed 7 extract beers and then jumped into all grain. After building several 10 gal systems from three tier to single tier all stainless I settled on a single tier all stainless 20 gal system.

    I've have built 6 20gal Brutus style systems for myself and customers. I've used jet burners on
    the first 2 (I hate jet burners) but these have been the most efficient and have more than
    enough power ...

    I use water from my water softener and I've had batches last 4 months. Never gets cloudy and PH
    stays good but I usually end up using it all up.
