  • I've loved metal from its beginnings until the vocals turned into screaming. This new Black/Screamo/Goth metal movement annoys me. I also enjoy Rock, Alternative, Folk Rock, and classical (but only when I'm studying).
  • Braveheart, Doc Hollywood, Back to the Future, Gremlins, Sands of Iwo Jima, Star Wars saga, Day of Dead, Dawn of the Dead, just about anything with zombies
  • Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Joe Schmo Show, The Big Bang Theory, Dexter, The Tudors, Game of Thrones
  • Anything Dean Koonts or Gary Paulson (still love his stories).
  • I started homebrewing in January of 2011, after reading through a home brewing thread on my local European car enthusiast forum (PNWfahren.com). I did two extract batches on my kitchen stove, and decided I could only continue if I went all grain. Since then, I've done about 20 batches on a poorly designed brew rig I made out of old meal shelving pieces. I've got a DIY fermentation chamber that I built from being inspired by this forum, as well as a 15cuft keezer I built before my second batch was completed, that has enough room for 10 corny kegs.
  • I always have a Russian Imperial Stout on my mind to brew in the near future, but I'm a little scared to tackle it. I've made one in the past, and the bottle fermentation didn't go so well. I'll try another one eventually, and it'll find a home in a keg for sure.
