  Any harm in adding the bourbon to secondary with oak chips. Just thought I would soak chips in
  bourbon and add together instead of boiling chips and adding chips at secondary and bourbon at
  bottling.

  For Vanilla extracts, you have to be very very careful about the quantity. I have ruined it

  Ancients & farmers have stored wheat & other grains for years when the harvest was good to make
  up for the bad years.Once you crush it does it have a limited life?

  Just made a mash tun with copper manifold in a 48 Qt Coleman rectangular cooler. I ran a test
  batch of water through and because the drain is above the manifold there was little over a
  gallon of water...
