    ABOUT ME

  • My wife bought me a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas and that just got me started. I'd been getting into craft and micro brews at the store and at restaurants and I was so frustrated with the watered-down flavor of macro-brews (Bud/Miller/Coors).....even the ones that claim to have small-batch selections. I'm just getting started and I'm still learning so much but I love knowing that the stuff I'm drinking is the stuff I'm making.rnrnI just recently stepped up to full extract (5 gallon) brewing. I'm hoping to learn more than I did with the MB kits and when I get back to the States, maybe I'll invest in some equipment for an All Grain setup.

No problem. They shipped to APO as of this time last year. I don't see why they would have
changed it. Every so often they would offer free shipping specials and I'd try to take
    advantage of it.Sent f...

ATC--you don't like Midwest? They ship to APO and have a pretty good selection. Their "normal"
shipping to APO is USPS Priority so you'll get it in 7-10 days, without fail, but I never

I stopped because I'm getting ready to leave and needed to exhaust my stock. I'll pick it back
up when I get back to the States, of course.

I was at a "bar" just outside of Boston (a while ago) and I asked what local or craft beers
they had, preferably on tap. I was handed the typical plastic laminated menu with oversized

I JUST saw this. I figured there would be more of an active homebrewing culture there with the
abundance of hops grown right there. Anyway, since posting this, I've learned that there is a

I'm brewing MW's Jawbreaker Wheat Pale Ale right now. It's pretty simple: 6lb of liquid wheat
extract, 1lb of dry wheat extract, and 4oz of hops (3oz Amarillo and 1oz Warrior). I'll be
