I put one in a 30 qt turkey fryer pot. Worked just fine and that's a thin gauge aluminum.

absolutely. Don't crack it open and store in the fridge until you are are ready to brew the
ipa. I would investigate starters however.

From two different carbonation calculators, 3/4 of a cup is 6 oz of dme. This will give you
between 2.4 and 2.6 vol of co2 in 5 gal of beer. Definitely boil the water for 10 min or so

Look up the old Rasputin clone that byo did. It is extract and the beer is good. I haven't made
it yet but scheduled to this week.
