  • Got started homebrewing in 1994 and the hobby turned into a life-long passion!

Started with beer and was medium good at it. ;) Then, tried mead and was a natural. Entered in many homebrew competitions and got great feedback and awards, locally and nationally.

Want to encourage more homebrewers to try mead. We all have access to local honey, creativity, and time. It's a great medium to work in and teaches craft patience with great reward. Wassail!

Mead can take quite a bit of time and the drier the longer they seem to take. Age certainly
makes for great mead. At the same time, we make lovely meads in 6 months that are very
    drinkable, and with a...

not bad for a first go. suggest in the future not heating the honey. it blows off the aromas
and you really want that in the bottle, not your kitchen. :) Honey doesn't need to be heated.
    it's naturall...

the honey you use will impact the quality of mead. so if it's got great aroma that will carry
into the mead. if you use sam's club, it is likely been pasteurized and might get stuck
    fermentation. raw ...

Very nice! thanks so much for sharing. Would suggest choosing honey based on aroma more than
flavor of the honey. It doesn't happen often that an aroma is pleasing and the taste is not,
    but typically ...
