  • My friend is a homebrewer. he always had fermenters and corney kegs around his place. So while we would be using his garage for band practice, I'd sneak off from behind the drums to sample what was in the keg. Eventually I acquired "The Joy of Homebrewing" and received a homebrewing kit for Christmas. That has grown to my current setup of a 5 and 10 gal Gott cooler for mash/lauter tuns. 20 gal stainless boil pot. I now have 7 corney kegs. one 6.5 gal carboy, two 5 gal carboys plastic buckets, and a fastferment conical. A dedicated refrigerator/fermentation chamber in the garage, a Malt crusher malt mill. and my home made counter flow chiller. rn There is also this 4 tap keezer dispensing homebrew in the house.

I started with Fuzze's howto thread, then added the LCD thanks to daytrippers thread. I've
learned that this thing is only limited by your imagination and abilities. After asking a

thanks again... does it matter which way the SSR is wired as far as the T1 and L1 (input/output
wise) ? I don't think it would. But typically L stands for Load so I'd place the energized

How many posts are we going to endure that are so far off topic that the original question has
been lost? None of this bickering is helping the OP. Why don't you guys take this argument to
    the PM's?

  • Posted in thread: Do yeast really clean up after themselves? on 01-13-2017 at 08:19 PM
What time period are we talking about? When you say the yeast is done, is that when you see
activity cease? That could be 4-5 days after pitching. I've recently added a Tilt hydrometer to
    my set up so...

I'm using a ten gallon round cooler. To me this is ideal for fly sparging. Haven't tried
batching with it. Its just easy for me to set the flow rate from the HLT and then let the run
    off occur. When y...

Since you say that with each post you tried the QD fits awkwardly I wonder if there is some
damage to the disconnect?. Have you inspected the inside of that? Do you have another to try in
    its place?
