    In my experience you have to heat up the cooler with 1 gal of water for a couple of minutes
    before you add all the water.This happened to a few friends of mine.

    A few months back i put my mash tun outside and left the lid on but left my ball valve
    open.When i was moving i opened the cooler and it had water and bugs in there.So im guessing

    The alcohol will kill germs.You need a muslin grain bag and some marbles.

    I do BIAB and get my numbers.Time,temp,PH,and crush all have a roll in getting your numbers.I
    mash for 90 minutes as well.
