  • Posted in thread: Hop Cones Turning Brown - Help on 08-18-2014 at 04:25 PM
My Centennials are doing similar as far as the browning. Two other varietys growing adjacent
don't seem to be experiencing the same effects. All had the same
    soil/fertilizer/water/sun/temp, etc... The...

My Centennials are really browning as well. Even though they don't seem to be papery at all
like they were last year when I harvested. Should I go ahead and harvest them even though they
    still seem to...

I voted not bearded just because I don't have a full beard at the moment. I'm usually a winter
time bearded brewer. Now I would call it more goatee than beard....

Let's see, I mowed the lawn (2 acres of it), got new tires for the car, took my brew buddy to
the vet, worked in the garden and built a new gate for the fence, brewed what should turn into

My go to is Founders, I work a block or two away. Red's Rye, Centennial IPA and their Oatmeal
Stout being my favorites. South a little ways is Bells. I enjoy an Oberon or Two Hearted there.

  • Posted in thread: Help! How to mount burners on wooden stand!? on 05-28-2014 at 04:31 PM
If it was me, I wouldn't be concerned with fire danger with what you have going there. I would
also remove the shelf portion where your kettles are sitting and put your burners where your
    red lines ar...

That looks fairly beat up. I've heard of people coiling a stiff piece of copper wire and
inserting that inside of the braided hose to keep if from collapsing. I'd suggest giving that a
    try. Or build o...

$1/LB for base malts and $1.29 for all specialty malts.....I don't buy in bulk amounts. Not
sure what they get for a full sack of base malt.

Definitely have very hard water. I have another outdoor faucet that is softened water. I will
try using that next time. And not soaking for a week....Thanks for the tips!
