- Well I love beer. As I'm sure this was the first step in almost every home brewers guide to home brewing. From there it was, I bet I can upgrade from drinking Keystone (I'm a college student still) and still save money. Thus a challenge was formed in my head to save money and drink beer, not too mention show off the beer to my poor college buddies. Also my gf disapproved so naturally I bought my equipment that day. I'm currently just rolling with a basic setup, 5gal brew pot, propane tank and burner, 6.5gal carboy with rubber stopper and airlock, and bottling bucket.
- Some kind of stout... Or maybe a light pale ale with some lime flavor for the summer.
- American Amber Ale

You shouldn't boil the caps because it could damage the seal on them. Just make a bowl of star
san and get them soaking before you start bottling.Posted in thread: Hey, Revvy's right on 06-03-2010 at 03:38 PM
I will have to keep a couple 12oz bottles next time. This is my plan. I bought a bunch of 22oz
bottles and a case of 12oz... that way I can taste test the the 12oz ones and waste just a
little bit less...Posted in thread: Show us your BIG ONE... on 06-03-2010 at 03:36 PM

Great advice guys!! I'm already in preparation for my next batch. I'll let maybe half the
bottles sit for a long time if the taste doesn't shape up, but probably dump half of them in

Well I went to bottle my first brew today. It was a Morebeer.com American Amber Ale extract
