    I used a California common. Not a true Oktoberfest but as close as I can get with my setup
    currently. I also "may" have racked some gunk out of primary. I just couldn't stand leaving
    that much beer on...

    Top fermented refers to ale yeast, bottom fermented to lager yeast. The little beasties either
    float or sink when fermenting as I understand.

    Worst beer actually ended up tasty and proof of the phrase rdwhahb, but it sure wasn't pretty.
