  • First tried my hand at brewing with a Mr Beer kit that I got for Christmas a few years ago. The first and only batch that I did with it was way over carbonated and caused several bottle bombs. I did get to drink some of it but it was very hard to drink because of the carbonation.rnrnFast forward a few years(2012) and I was at my aunt and uncles in Missouri and my uncle is letting me sample some of his homebrew. He's been brewing for about 20+ years at this point, so I guess in part he is responsible for my homebrew obsession.rnrnSo I'm at his house drinking some homebrew and thinking to myself how awesome it would be if I could make this stuff myself. So i got another homebrew kit for Christmas in 2012. rnrnThis time I got the Deluxe kit from northern brewer and chose the Caribou Slobber kit. The rest I guess is history as I've brewed several batches now and haven't made one yet that I wanted throw out.

capped off, right? Did you have a tech come out who was able to tap into that?Hoping to not
    have to rebuild......

Yes, Yeast will absolutely affect the outcome of your beer. While the beer will probably still
be really good, it will NOT be a true clone at that point.I have been experimenting with yeast
    as of late...

I'm very interested in this as well. I've got some oak cubes that came with a kit that I
bought, but ended up not using them because I ended up with less beer in the fermenter than
    planned and didn't ...

last couple of months for example, where I have gone a couple of months without brewing because
    of so much...
